A New Initiative for World Citizen
To "walk the walk" of our Peace Actions, we are asking Peace Education participants for donations of new or gently-used children’s books that would support one or more of our Five Peace Actions. We will donate these books to Reading Partners Twin CitiesThis organization provides free tutors to children in Minneapolis and St. Paul who may benefit from extra help and support to acquire the skills needed to be proficiently reading by the end of third grade. As part of their program they provide books to children through the “Take a Book Home” initiative. Reading Partners’ leaders understand that in order for students to improve their reading skills they must continue to practice at home and throughout the summer. Therefore, the students they tutor are invited to bring donated books home.
If you'd like to take part in our new initiative for this cause, donations can be made directly to:
Reading Partners Twin Cities, 2324 University Ave W #105, St. Paul, MN  55114
Thank you for considering this act of kindness and good deed!
